Experience the 1950s at Bisbee’s Vintage Trailer Park

Visitors to Bisbee don’t have to stay in a stuffy hotel – The Shady Dell Vintage Trailer Court provides unique sleeping quarters in the form of vintage trailers.

The park began in 1927 as a place for weary travelers to rest as they made their way along Highway 80, which stretched from Savannah, Ga. to San Diego, Calif. Today, The Shady Dell is home to 10 restored, vintage trailers, thanks to owner Ed Smith’s love for collecting.

Each trailer is decked out with vintage décor and appliances. Cook out on one of the park’s charcoal grills and soak up Bisbee’s small-town charm. Most trailers sleep 1-2 people.

While some trailers have bathrooms and showers, the park is also equipped with full size bathroom and shower facilities just steps away from the trailers.

No children under age 15 are allowed at this vintage getaway, so if you’re looking for a family-friendly trip, it’s best to check out Bisbee’s other lodging options. The park is closed during the summer and winter months, so plan accordingly.

Getting there:

The Shady Dell Vintage Trailer Court is located at 1 Douglas Road, Bisbee, AZ 85603.
